A problem like Maria....

Having that song stuck in my head makes me smile ;o)

I can't believe that this weekend is actually over! The wedding was a complete success. Due to some amazing planning by K and everyone who helped, everything ran smoothly and fun was had by all. It was a beautiful ceremony and K was a glowingly beautiful bride. (Ok, Jordan you looked pretty hot too, but you know we all were looking at her!) And she even survived being the centre of attention for so much time!

It's really hard to believe that they're getting on a plane to head back east tomorrow and though the weekend was filled with so much joy, there were a few tears today and I'm welling up again now thinking of how long it will be until I get to see them again....or the fact that I don't even know how long it will be! But if they aren't able to make it out here for a while, maybe I'll be able to go there and see them. The only part of Ottawa I've ever seen is the Toronto airport, so I could use a few tour guides!

Congratulations K & Jordan!!

Hold up. There's an airport in Ottawa that's called the Toronto airport? Or do you mean that the only part of Ontario you've seen is an airport in Toronto? I think it's actually called the Lester B Pearson International Airport. I could be wrong.

It was great getting to know you over the past little while and especially over the weekend. I mentioned in a comment on H's blog that it's interesting how a wedding "joins" others besides the bride and groom. I feel as though I've made new friends. Let's all continue to hang out. Or at least keep in contact through the blogosphere.

That was the song the bride walked down the aisle to. And yes, it IS a fantastic song and movie.

You're right to say K was beautiful, and even though he's my brother in law, Jordan looked pretty good too... You could tell how happy he was since he was pretty much radiating... At least I know my sis is going to get taken care of!! It makes it a LITTLE bit easier... but on the other hand, since he's such a great guy, I have to be sad about missing him AS WELL AS my sister.

    We just can't win!

Ah rev, you got me. I DID mean that all I've seen of ONTARIO is the airport in toronto which is probably called the Lester B Pearson International Airport...I must have been sleepy last night when I wrote that...all I know is it was in the way home from Halifax on a not so happy day for me 'cause I was sick....

And yes, The Sound of Music is a GREAT movie, I was so happy that K chose that song to walk down the aisle to. It really made me smile and showed a lot of personality.

Ah, the happy-sads, I think we all have them today. It was such a build up to the wedding and now that they're gone it feels a little empty. I think that we should all definitely try to continue to hang out together. It was great to get to know everyone in the wedding party better and I hope to continue to do so....maybe I'm in denial but I don't think those two will be in Ottawa forever, and I think that they would be excited to come back west and discover that we have all kept in touch!

What's your real name Dee? Dee seems like a abreviation to me...

I think you need each others support in this situation. It's something very important. It's never easy to be left behind...But They will come back if your band with them is strong enough, they certainly will visit you on a regular base :o). Actually, that's what I hope for all of you! My best friend moved to France last year with his wife. But he missed us too much. Now they're back with us ...

You mean they weren't just going to Ottawa for their Honeymoon?
    Now I'm depressed.

I'm with the rev, Dee. Even the old folks had a great time beeing with you all over the weekend. It felt like summers in Stampede Band again....

Don't be strangers. Please come and see us.

    Besides that,
what kind of personality does a bride sho to walk down the aisle to "How do you solve a problem...." and what was her old amn doing the whole way down? I was sure he would be sobbing, but no. All he could do was look at the beautiful woman walking beside him and smile!
